Thor Bjørklund (1899-1975) from Lillehammer in Norway invented the cheese slicer in 1925. Bjørklund was carpenter of profession, and based on a carpenters plane, he constructed the cheese slicer. |
The products, still produced in Lillehammer, has through 80 years become a classic symbol of Norwegian innovation, quality and design.
