Instructions

SwedeClean Microfiber Bonnet

for carpet and hard floors. Can be used with only water on hard surfaces. Carpet might require a pre-spray or a bonnet cleaner not so much for the cleaning action as a lubricater to lessen the friction. Benefits of using a microfiber bonnet is less lint, easier to clean (soil is held between the microfibers where it can be easily rinsed out. It is not absorbed in the fiber itself where strong  detergents would be required for removal) and dries faster than cotton bonnets! Fibers are a blend of non-destructible polyester and polyamide. Bonnets outlast competitors three to one. Guaranteed for 500 washings.  See washing instructions below. Sizes available: 16, 17 and 19"

To remove excess moisture from newly cleaned carpet:

1. Place bonnet under floor machine equipped with a pad holder.

2. Run one or two passes over area then move to next path you want to absorb excess moisture. Use one side to approximate 200 SF (depending on how "wet" the carpet is), then flip it over or replace with new. For certain type of conditions it might be useful to lightly mist the carpet with a "rinse solution".

3. While turning the bonnet over inspect the bonnet for "wetness" and "dirtiness" giving you a reference for how far you can use the bonnet before you have to replace it with a new one.

To clean, freshen or correct lightly soiled carpets:

1. Preferably use with a mop bucket and a wringer. Wet with water only, if you feel it is needed to add chemicals you can do so, but we suggest you start out with water only first. For certain instances you might use a pump up sprayer with a "bonnet cleaner" or a "fiber rinse" depending on job situation.

2. You can either have the water in the bucket and "dip and wring" the bonnet to achieve the "right" moisture or spray mist with a pump up sprayer the area in front of you if you are moving forward while cleaning.

3. As the bonnet "fill up" with soil (check every 100 Square Feet) you have to replace it with a new one or wash or clean the one you are using. A garden hose hooked up to an outside spigot does a good "interim cleaning", or if you can find an indoor source providing warm or hot water is even more preferable. If the bonnet is too soiled please see washing instructions below.

AS A HARD FLOOR CLEANER

The microfiber bonnet is also great for cleaning those new types of synthetic wood floors that are becoming so popular. Those types of floors don’t like to get too wet. The usual polishing or burnishing method with floor pads could be too abrasive and does not absorb soil as well as the microfiber bonnet does. Some of the synthetic wood floors with "grain" pattern might need additional manual care with a deck brush. If so, wipe after with a damp microfiber cloth!

1. Preferably use with a mop bucket and a wringer. Wet with water only.

2. Apply bonnet under floor machine 175 RPM and start cleaning.

3. After cleaning 100 Square Feet check and see how soiled the bonnet is.

4. If bonnet soiled, flip over or replace.

5. If needed, the bonnet can be rinsed and washed. Using a garden hose hooked up to an outside spigot does a good "interim cleaning", or if you can find an indoor source providing warm or hot water is even more preferable. For complete washing see washing instructions below.

Washing Instructions: The bonnet is to be machine-washed in warm or hot water.  Will last for several hundred washes. Microfiber loves hot water. If you have a truck mounted system use a feeder hose with 200 degrees hot water to flush the bonnet! Do not wash together with terry towels, or articles that shed a lot of lint. Air dry! Do not use fabric softener or bleach!
